Class Descriptions

EARTH – A restorative yoga practice accessible to all levels. In this practice accessories are used to help create a foundation of support to ensure proper alignment of the body to release deep held tensions and connect to the grounding support of the earth. All-level Accessible.

WATER  A slow-moving, alignment-based class combining active and restorative yoga, breath work and movement to create deep fluid connections in the body. Enhance strength, flexibility and capacity for sustaining a connection to breath, movement, and stillness in the body. Level 1 and Level 1/2.

FIRE – A dynamic alignment-based vinyasa practice focusing on increasing strength, flexibility and igniting a deeper sense of awareness, control and understanding of your physical body, its limitations, its power, and its subtlety. This class is offered at levels 1, 1/2, 2.

AIR – A gentle but profound practice that incorporates yoga asanas to prepare the body for pranayama (breath work), sounding (voice work), and meditation. Cultivate a deeper sense of awareness and spaciousness allowing you to discover a sense of clarity and ease in the mind and body. All-level Accessible.

SUNRISE – An early morning class to greet the day. Practice variations on Sun Salutations and some seated postures supported by pranayama and meditation to prepare the body and mind for the day.

UPLIFT – A short mid-day practice that will help you re-energize the body, clear the mind, and liberate your breath through a sequence of hatha yoga postures.

MIDWEEK TUNE UP – An intelligent practice of self-massage, dynamic stretching, strength conditioning and postural correction used to increase mobility, and decrease pain while moving. Open to practitioners and athletes of all levels.

CORE INVERSIONS –  This is a powerful practice aimed to increase core strength, shoulder stability and be a space for practice of active inversions (forearm stand, handstand, shoulder stand, and other variations).

ROCK STEADY – An off the mat toning and stability class geared to support and enhance your yoga practices. Expect to work up a sweat, get strong, have fun and get steady.

THERAPEUTICS –  Weekly therapeutic yoga practices designed around monthly themes to enhance a holistic sense of wellbeing. Monthly pre-registration is encouraged.

COMMUNITY CLASS – Hatha Yoga Classes offered by donation by new teachers in the community all levels accessible.
